Feeling alittle Halloween

Hi Fellow Crafters. It's been awhile since I've been here, and alot has happened since then. I became another grandma. My Daughter Sarah had a little boy named Jayden Paul Thomas. Beautiful little guy that makes number 8 grandchild.
I thought I start back in the groove with a Halloween card. The stamp sets I used were SCAREDY CAT- #122555, DARK & DREARY- #120837, MIDNIGHT MUSING- #120863 (jumbo). Other supplies I used were: BASIC BLACK INK #101179, PEAR PIZZAZZ- #119795, PUMPKIN PIE- #105117, WHISPER WHITE-#100739, DESIGNER SERIES PAPER- FRIGHTFUL SIGHT- #122351, PUNCH- #119850, DICOUNTED BRADS and HOUSEHOLD SCREENING.

Fold cardstock in half to form your card.

Next is to take your orange paper and cut into 1/4s. Your should have 4 card size pieces.

Next take your orange pieces and rip from corner downwards with about 1"rip all the way down.

Will look like this.

Stamp out card front and repeat ripping but only rip to fit into orange piece.

Going to accent front with this Designer paper.

Discounted brads were bought at Micheal's

Stamp out Raven.

Now it's time assemble card.

Fit as you go.

Punched out circles for Raven.

Rip Raven in shapely figure and glue to circles.

To give it a different look I used Screening(window) to highlight my designer paper.

Fit window screening on designer paper.Cut to desired lenght.

Punch holes for brads. And again punch at desired spot.

I added the spider to corner.

Now glue and assemble your card.

Used glue dots for Raven.

At the last minute, I decided to add glitter to my Raven.

Last but not least. Decorate envelopes.

For the inside. Here is all of my leftover whisper white cardstock. I will stamp out BOO.

After stamped out, place on your designer paper. Now all of this will be ripped out. No cutting.

Glue your inside to card. This is actually easier to rip then you think. Plus ripping will give your Halloween Card some character.

I WANT SNOWFLAKES !!!

Hello friends, In the mist of rearranging my craft room,I happen to run across a half done card, A Christmas card at that. I started this one, sometime ago, one I started and decided I wasn't in the mood to finish or lost my train of "Thought". It's retired , a big block stamp , never used it before and after I stamped out a dozen or so of want-to-bes (cards), I stopped and started on something else. Well I decided to finish it. The stamp on one side has a large snowflake, on the otherside a smaller snowflake.

I also started this card from the inside out!

Supplies I used:

Stazon White #106960 (comes with a refill)

Stazon Jet Black #101406

Winter Wishes Block stamp( retired)

Grateful Greeting #116511

Various Color of Cardstock

2-way Glue Pen #100425

Clear Embossing Powder #109130

*Embossing Buddy #103083

Dazzling Diamond Glitter #102023

Cut 8x11 cardstock in half to start 2 cards. Stamp using Stazon White, the large snowflake in the inside of card. Allow time to dry before handling.

Emboss the smaller snowflake on the outside of card.

Make sure that you use your "EMBOSSING BUDDY" to prevent static to paper. Thats those messy spots on cards when heated.

As you can see on the blue card the messy embossing powder. I didn't use my buddy. With Glue Pen, color in the snowflake on the outside of card. Apply Dazzling Diamond Glitter. Tap off, set aside to dry.

I punched out the dots for the "i's" in "Christmas Greeting", and used Gold Brads #104337 to highlight alittle...

Cut Real Red cardstock in Strips (2"), Bargain Ribbons 7" long. Take glue dots and place on brads, loop ribbon and attach to back of "Christmas Greeting".

Place on Real Red strips, trim. Use 3 Glue Dots per "Christmas Greeting", place glue dot in middle of ribbon where it crosses.

Trim to frame saying.

Use desired Glue to back and place on desired spot!

So the "Set aside" project that had no idea of whatever it was going to be, finally became "The SnowFlake Card". That's the way too GO!

Never push a project if the Brain Cells Dies, it can be easily pick-up at a different time with a "FRESHER" outlook than what you had before!

It's Time Now to "THINK" of "CHRISTMAS'.....

Hey Everybody, Seems like the days are blowing bye, and one of the best holiday of all is creeping up on us soon, very soon! And now with so many different christmas stamp sets that are out, It get really hard on which to decide, specailly if you bought more than 1, that it alone is a headache!. So just take a moment and breathe because its alright and "Who" said you had to do "ONLY 1 "a season!
This will be the first "Christmas Card" out of several that I'll be doing, So I hope you stick around.
Messing around with my "New" Big Shot folder -" TEXTURED IMPRESSIONS" NORTHERN FURRY.I guess I wanted to highlight the impression itself - The Snow Flakes. And this is what I can up with. And to tell you the truth, I'm really not happy with the out come of the card! I think its o.k. not to like your own stuff, cause I really believe that leaves room for a diiferent approach next time. And also with this card it became an "ADD" to it card. Every time I would get done with a step, it just needed something else.I really didn't know what but it did need more...

Here is some of the materials I used. Forgot to put the GARDEN GREEN CARDSTOCK in picture:)

I placed cardstock in folder, and put it thru the Big Shot. Roll to the back, and the back to the front (toward you) this will impress the pattern better.

Even looking like this, they came out looking nice.. But I really wasn't happy with the looks, I decided to take a step-up and lightly use stazon WHITE over the 3-D image.

So now its done and it looks funny and I feel like I just wasted my TIME and PAPER. Let's cover most of the card and leave alittle of the snowflakes.

Will use colored pencils on image. I have stamp'in Up colored pencils and they have retired the set. the other colored pencils I use all of the time - CRAYOLA. The best time to buy these colored pencils are when "Going Back to School" sales starts...

Used my dauber to go around the edges Used Garden Green . Next Designer Paper and Cardstock.

O.K - Next: The green cardstock - Garden Green......

Used Whisper White And Garden Green to layer and frame out my card cover.

Added foam tape to give height image up on card.

Now to Color image.

Used Stamp in up color pencils (retired).

And the finally step was I added Dazzling Diamonds Glitter #102023 to the belles.

I also used tissue to smear the stazon. I guess the project over all turn out looking good, but like I said this was one of those cards that no matter what I did , I just wasn't satified no matter how I looked at it. Did you EVER have a card that was like this one. Would love to hear your story.....

Wooden Greeting Cards

I've been saving the odd pieces of cedar that was left over from a make over project that we did in my kitchen this summer.Besides the wonderful smell it looks beautiful, I went over it with tongue oil and it turned out nice. Well Thinking and thinking about what I was going to do with them . The cedar planks fit into a legal size envelope- 4 1/8" x 9 1/2" . So for "SOMETHING DIFFERENT" again, I decided to stamp on the pieces.

The cedar pieces were damp, I did let them dry before stamping.

You can actually tell wet from dry.

After drying, figure out where to stamp at. It can be a full stamp to one single image.

Also used STAZON because it won't smear or run if wood is damp.

Color, let set then use a light coat of clear spray paint. Then the hardest thing will be deciding who will get one! Thought it was pretty cool, and the people I shared them with just "Loved Them"..

I hope everyone enjoyed this odd project. I also want to add is: I drilled holes in corners to make a wall hanging out of them too.

I'm waiting for my new stamps to come in, so I possibly can start Christmas Cards! And that's just right around the corner.... Until next time... Use your creative skills and "CREATE"

Something "DIFFERENT" in the Air...

Hello Everyone ,
It's been too long since I've said anything. OMG, That's keeping my mouth shut,and golden in these times. Not to long ago we got back from Mackinac Island, which is located in my home state of Michigan. Yes, a real Island . Really Beautiful and will take you back in time for sure! Only Bikes and Horses are aloud there.Stayed in a "Historical House" 140 yrs. old. Just truely charming. (I always wondered what the word really meant, and now I do).
Using Imagination, Nature and Fall Colors, I played around with "WHITE BIRCH BARK", and found out it was workable when slightly damp. So Check it out, What do "YOU" think?

I also used a cheap clear spray paint to help preserve the bark as well as the design too! I used Stazon instead of just plain black ink. This was to stop it from running, when I sprayed the picture..

I kepted the bark damp, by keeping it in a ziploc bag, and gentlly bending and twisting to change the shape of the bark. Pressed it out by using heavy books.

These cards will be Thanksgiving Day Card. Until next time Happy stampin...

Jumbo Wheel Card "Haunting Hill"

Hello Crafters, Here's a card made with a "Jumbo Wheel". Gives the card a flowing look. The cardstock I used was cardstock from the craft store ( you know the stuff friends and family buy for you on birthdays and holidays). A very simple card, I pulled out the moon and added a bat to give it a highlighted look. I also did various cards with this one. Soooooo let's get started..

Materials used. Odd cardstock : orange, yellow, tan, purple. SU cardstock Whisper White #100730, Basic Black #121045, More Mustard #100946, Bat Punch #119279, 3/4" circle punch #119873,

Glue stick #104045, jumbo wheel handle #103661, basic black jumbo ink cartridge #104582. I used a Stamp Set that is "RETIRED" Autumn Apparitions- sorry don't have an item number for this set.

Wheel it out. I used Whisper White (100730).

Measure by holding cut-out strip to card.

Mark, then cut. this helps out by stopping too short of strip. Now at this point color in design.

Cut orange cardstock into strips. Glue to BACK of design.

Punch Bats and Moons out..

Glue Moon and Bat.

Will look like this when finished. Can trim any extra off design.

Stamp out words. I used craft scissors and glittered the word for the inside of card. Decided to use grey brads that I had, to give it a plank look.

Used Glue Dots (medium) to apply front of card and inside of card.

inside looks like this. And at the last minute I used large TAG punch (119876).

And the Finished Cards..

I did end up changing marker colors to find the right colors. I hope that I show you that you don't have to have stamps to make a card. And as you can see, don't forget to trim any extra hang overs on card. Open card and turnover to trim... Until next time, Be Adventurage and "Just Create"!

Bat & Skull Halloween Card

Here it is again. "HALLOWEEN". I can smell it in the air, and feel it in my bones. I just love this time of the year. I didn't realize that one of the stamp sets are "RETIRED"! And actually used the "BOO" stamp.

Here is a list of what I used to make this card: Elegant Eggplant #105126, Pumpkin Pie #105117, YoYo Yellow( retired) #102824, all in cardstock. The following stamp sets used: From the Crypt # 115460, House of Haunts #111574, and Autumn Apparitions which is retired. Black embossing powder #103083, White Gel Pen #105021, Dazzling Diamond Glitter # 102023, Bat Punch # 119279, Crystal Effects # 101055, Multi-purpose glue # 104755, Anywhere Glue Stick # 104683.

Punch out Bats, should be able to punch out 4 bats to make 2 cards

Punch out Bats long ways on paper.

4 1/2" x 5 1/2" Cards.

Hold trim, measure.

Mark and cut.

Glue to Card.

Prepare cards for embossing. The Embossing Buddy help with static and keeps powder where powder needs to be.

I turn over stamp and ink this way. It helps to see where the VersaMark shouldn't be, and can be wiped off.

Stamp and press firmly, Sprinkle with Black Embossing Powder.

Heat set with Hot air gun.

Always remember to brand your card.

Stamp and cut out "BOO". Glue to Purple cardstock. Don't cut perfect, cut with a fashionable curves.

Make stitch marks on Bats

Use Crystal Effects or glue for eyes.

Using Tweetsers help in placing eyes.

SWEET SCOOPS

Hello there my crafty friends. Sorry about the long absent, but I'm back and would like to show off my card! With alot of July Birthdays, I really had to get to business on a card, so I toyed around with this stamp set and came up with this one. The stamp set Sweet Scoops # 120078 which is the Clear Stamp Set .(the wooden stamp set #117078.) The Cupcake stamp was a $1.00 and got that at Michael's.

I used my Cuttle Bug for the background. I also did a simple layering. The colors I used : Pixie Pink, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, and two of them are RETIED. Ink for stamping: Regal Rose #105211, Tempting Turquoise #100814, More Mustard # 103162, as well as the ribbon.

I also had to do the envelopes. Used the Standard Wheel CUPCAKES #113121, colored in all the cupcakes. I always worry about the postage on cards because of the bulk, but I never had problems. I have used the transparent envelopes, and some cities did charge me more. So check with the post office before you send out your works of Art, because THEY will come back to you!....

Two Birthdays at ONCE

Hello Stampin' Bees,
Man, it's been a very Busy week here. Between work and some issues that have been going on with the kids, it's really been a busy hive around here! Its took me almost 1 whole week to do a simple birthday card, and don't ya know it, I'm on Mother's Day cards now- and that's like only 15 minutes a day of my time( squeezing in).

It was my Granddaughter Christina and Grandson Christopher's birthdays. Christina turned 9, Christopher turned 5.

Stamp set: "Crazy for Cupcakes". As you can see I used various lay-outs to make each card different. Just like each person is different. Just think, What a boring world it would be if everyone and everything was the same!

I gave Christina this one. The Cupcake Tree.

Christopher's Card was the Cupcake. And it does have a slight tilt, there is nothing even on this one...

They both had a very nice birthday, Christopher went to Chuckie Cheese and Christina just wanted a grill Cheeseburger. Happy Birthday to both of them. And closing on that note, until next time

STAMPTASTIC EVENING

Hi Guys, Sorry I haven't been posting anything lately. I been so busy and really trying to find time to myself lately has been totally inpossibly, even getting a peaceful moment in my basement as I throw in a load of laundry is so great its funny. But I promise in the near future, I'll try to do better. Now all about last night. Its was sooooo stamptastic... Shelli is sooooo down to earth, she herself is a great person. Sara, her daughter was also there. Her present there was so inspirational, you could feel the joy and happiness in the room as everyone really enjoyed themself.

There was also a card swap and to tell the truth, I didn't have to swap. I've been so caught up in life lately, that my stamping time is really limited to ZERO time. Here are some pics from my Event las night.

Christian's 4th Birthday

Had to come up with an idea the other day for a child's birthday card, which so happened to be my grandson Christian's 4th Birthday. Actually the cups only holds what you can see there. I was going to only do 4 jellybeans because that's how old he is. 5 really worked better. I started thinking about Christian wanting to rip it open, even before his MOM would have a chance to look at it .

GREAT NEW "CLEARANCE" FINDINGS

Hello Crafters,
Had to Brag about my "Clearance Finding" this afternoon. I had some extra "Mooooooooo-La", and was kinda undecided on what I really wanted to spend it on, so I walked around the craft store, and around
(Hey, my Hubby even came with me this time) and around about six more times until I ran across the Clearance Section . And OMG, even tho I didn't need them "I COULD NOT" resist, I found SIZZIX DIES.

And the price, like I said, I couldn't resist. I did realize that I needed to go back around to see the "HANGING" stuff that was on the other side, and I did find a couple of more Things(stamp sets) that was looked at, that I would use later on. And all of them are 97¢.

A receipe clear stamp set, in which I do have another one, but this one is alittle different. And a Gardening clear stamp set, I love how the "G" in Garden is. SO next time you have a chance to "SEEK & DIG", Go for it!!!

One of the New Clear Stamp Sets..

LadyBugs are Everywhere Today

Ain't they CUTE ! And they don't Bite! They're getting ready to fly to Nicole and Adam's Baby Shower this Coming Sunday (March 7).

I saw this in a crafting magazine not to long ago and forgot I knew how to do them. Only 3 punches, plus a fancy one.This one you necessary don't need, But I decided to use it. Never used it until now. (And it does look good in my punch collection). I also call it my "PARTY PUNCH", looks like something "NEEDED" at a party like "CONFETTI"!

LET'S GET PUNCHING...

*Supplies Needed*

Your Choice of Colored Cardstock

1 3/4" Circle Punch for the Body & Wings

3/4" Circle Punch - for their cute little heads

1/4" Circle Punch - for spots on the wings

The "PARTY PUNCH"- for the Antennas

I punched out everything ! The party punch was alittle stiff because of using a heavy-weighted cardstock.

Thinner in this case would have been better, after awhile the palm of my hand did take a beating. But there

is 36 of those Cuties!

Bend the 1 3/4" circle in half.

These are going to be the "WINGS".

Cut at crease line, this is the BEST way to get to the center of a circle.

Now you have a Left and a Right Wing.

My center wings are not PERFECTLY" cut, but that's O.K.

Not one will be alike, they all will have different personalities!

Now use the 1/4" punch for the spots on the wings. Color mix and match for the look

of your wings. Place and Glue

Place Wing half on 1 3/4" WHOLE circle. You will see in the next photo,

the distant, tilt and place both wings halvies together.

Glue, when happy with wing position

Glue the heads to the "BACK" of started LadyBug.

Should look like this.

Bend the party punch curl in half. Now you can cut in half, if you can work

with it better, either way is O.K.

Glue to the back of the head. Let sit for a minute, this will

help dry and sit the glue for a stiffer hold.

Take one of the same color circles (3/4" circle) and place and match up head. This

will hide and help to protect the Antenna's life.

Allow time for drying, check to make sure they are all firmly pressed.

With the cuties, they will serve as "PINS". I used a little squeeze of

Hot Glue, then placed Lapel Pins in glue- Do make sure that all your pins work

before glueing them to the LadyBugs.

Easter Eggs in Easter Baskets

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY and Good Morning to all of My Crafty Friends,

EASTER CARDS ARE FINALLY FINISHED!!!!

It was really hard to decide what I wanted. There are two different ideas that I wanted to try, when I started this card, I knew it was the one I want, and finally I could use my "VELLUM PAPER", which by the way are the baskets that the eggs are sitting in..

Cards open up long ways instead of the usual way.

MATERIALS:

Very Vanilla Cardstock #101650

Green Galore cardstock #101768

White Vellum #101839

Any Designer paper, your choice

Brads: Soft Subtles #106954

Your Favorite color Ink, Mine was Purely Pomegranate

PUNCHES: 1/16" hand punch

Small TAg # 108264

Designer Label: #107590

Any Ribbon you like- Yellow

CARDSTOCK will be cut at 4 1/4"x 11, which this is your CARD itself. And 2 cards can be made from 1 sheet of cardstock.

Cardstock cut at 4 1/4"x 5 1/2", which this is your highlighted background

WHITE VELLUM is cut at 4 1/4"x 11", and you can see picture on how to...

After all cardstock is cut to size, let's do some Easter Eggs.

After you cut out a few of the eggs, wrap the Ribbon around top of egg and secure with a small piece of tape

Next would to stamp out all smaller pieces. When stamped, punch out all pieces.

Set aside when all cut out.

Use The Cuttle Bug or The Big Shot to make your highlighted background sheet.(small than the greeting card).

Set aside when finished... Let's move on to make the Baskets for the Easter Eggs.

Do as Shown

Repeat. Follow picture.

FOLD tip downwards to form a pocket.

Press to keep seam.

Use a small handheld hole puncher.

Soft Subtles BRADS

Punch thru, in center to attach Tag.

Slide egg into Vellum fold, hold and wrap end point around egg. Press to keep fold, then tape in back to secure basket.

Attach Egg to Swirl paper. Make sure before you do that you have it measured and cut down to highlight the inside of front. Once satified, glue to Very Vanilla.

Now glue the entire

piece to the CARDFRONT itself.

Continue to Glue accents to Cardfront. and these can be glue in different spots, its just a matter of taste and your judgement.

Now let's add some super highlights,which of course, it's gots to have GLITTER.

Trace the Swirls on the Very Vanilla paper, add more glue thand normal, because by the time you do too much outlining the glue starts to DRY, and then you have to slightly go over it again.

Allow time for DRYING, Maybe 10-15 minutes. Because we really want the glue to grab the glitter to hold it in place. we will lose some glitter just by moving them around, from a safe place to the envelope.

Hi Crafters, Man didn't realize it was so late. Here's something different. Couple years ago, in a Demonstrator group we did photo ablums made out of file folders. Really not hard at all, just the folding and pressing seams down. This one I did , I'm giving to a very good friend of mine. This is her granddaughter Mariah. I did pictures of Mariah's first hours of being on earth, to her first Birthday.She is SSSSSSSOOOOOO cute. and cuter in person.

Hello My "Crafty Friends" ! Another Holiday (Hallmark Holiday) . February 14 is just another day to most of the world, and then lets say, ONLY "30%" of the world are like you and me. And that's too bad. I really like Valentine's Day. Not just because of my hubby, but its "CARD GIVING" Day. Ain't that COOL :).

"ONLY YOU TEDDY" bear card

I love the teddy bear bear stamp and YES its NOT stampin up, but he's so adorable. I actually found him in a clearence bin when Frank's Nursery went out of business.

ScrapBox Card.....

This little card came out of my scrapbox. See what happens when you go thru your scrap/junk stuff. Pink paper leftover from a little girls birthday invites. Colors are All stampin up. Pretty in Pink(100459), Pink Passion(102762), Regal Rose(105130), Real Red(102482), Pixie Pink(105121) Whisper White(100730). I crimped Real Red and punch out with "Full Heart" punch(113693) and the "New Punch" Small Heart Punch(117193). The new punch are neat! They FOLD up to make them compack, more room to buy MORE!.. LOLOL... and to finish - Dazzling Diamond Glitter(102023), Pink in Pink Ink(100857) was used on the envelopes...

Quilter's Card

I actually started this card LAST YEAR, put it to the side and forgot about it..( I don't know why I did, I just did.) I pulled them out of an "Projects Yet To Finish" box (Yes I have one of those boxes too!). I punched out (4) Hearts( Full Heart Punch - 113693) for each card. Once glued together, the hearts look 3D .Fluff alittle when dried. I also wheeled out the envelopes with "LOVE" Wheel (sm).

Just a few Ideas from the past year starters. Sometimes, days later, the thoughts worked out BETTER. Even if its a YEAR later :)

Over the past few years, there has been enormous demand from demonstrators and customers alike for a line of repositionable clear-mount rubber stamps. Well, you asked for it, and now you have it! Starting with stamps in the 2010 Occasions Mini Catalog and the 2010 Sale-A-Bration Brochure, Stampin' Up! now offers our exclusive stamp art in both traditional wood-mount, and the new clear-mount option.
Our new clear-mount rubber stamps are the result of extensive research with the intent to maintain the very best image quality in the stamping industry, while at the same time offering the ease-of-use and storability inherent in repositionable clear-mount rubber stamps.

Clear-Mount Rubber Stamp Features

•Nine different sizes of clear blocks available individually or as a discounted bundle.

•Blocks have ergonomic grooves on all four sides for easy grip and traditional wood-mount feel.

•Stamps and blocks are durable and easy to clean with your Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist.

•Optional image labels on stamp backs let you decide if you want to see the image through the block or not.

•Tight die-cutting for easy image positioning.

Q: Why have we decided to offer clear-mount rubber stamps?
A: We have long known of the demand for repositionable clear-mount stamps from both demonstrators and customers. The problem has been how to offer these features without sacrificing the quality of our product. It took us a while, but we did it! With these new repositionable rubber stamps and clear blocks, you get the same superior image quality and durability you are accustomed to, along with the ease-of-use and storability inherent in repositionable stamps.

Q: How is clear-mount stamping different from wood-mount stamping?
A: Clear-mount and wood-mount stamps are both made with the same quality rubber and foam. You will not see any difference in your stamped images with the clear-mount stamps. The clear-mount blocks have grooves on all four sides; the grooves in the block will feel the same in your hand as a wood-mount stamp. Your stamping experience will be the same with either format. The difference lies mainly in their features and benefits. Clear-mount stamps require less storage space, and you can place multiple images on the same block. Also the image on the back of the stamp can aid you in stamp positioning.

Q: Is Stampin' Up! eventually going to stop carrying wood-mount stamps?
A: We have no plans to discontinue our wood-mount stamps. The benefit of offering stamps in both formats is that your customers will be able to choose the medium that works best for them.

Q: Are the stamps completely clear, so the whole stamp is see-through?
A: No. The blocks are completely clear, but the stamps use our same high-quality rubber and foam. There is, however, an image label for the back of the stamp (between the block and the foam) that will help you position the stamp on the paper.

Q: Are there plans for acrylic (photopolymer) stamps in the future?
A: No. Photopolymer would have been an easy solution for repositionable clear-mount stamps, but it is prone to stretching, tearing, and discoloration, and cannot produce the kind of crisp, finely detailed images Stampin' Up! stamps are known for. Our commitment to offering the very best products in the crafting market simply would not allow us to offer an inferior product like photopolymer.

Q: Is the clear-mount rubber different from the wood-mount rubber?
A: The rubber on the clear-mount stamps is identical to the rubber used on the wood-mount stamps.

Q: Is the clear-mount foam different?
A: The density of the clear-mount foam is the same as the wood-mount foam. However, the foam on the clear-mount stamps has adhesive on one side (to adhere it to the rubber) and a cling coating on the other side to adhere it to the block. There is also a slight color difference to help you tell them apart. The wood-mount foam color is Going Gray, and the clear-mount foam color is Sahara Sand.

Q: Will all stamps be available in a clear-mount option?
A: Most of the new stamps in future catalogs will be available in both wood-mount and clear-mount options. However, the à la carte stamps and Build-A-Bear Workshop stamps will only be available in wood-mount.

Q: How do you store clear-mount rubber stamps?
A: Clear-mount rubber stamps come in a DVD-sized storage case, and can be housed in any storage system designed to hold DVDs. The artwork on the storage label is shown at 100% on the cover, and thumbnail size on the spine. The back of the case is clear, allowing you to see the actual stamps from the back of the case.

Q: Will larger stamp sets (alphabets) come in larger cases?
A: Stamp sets that are too large for one storage case will be packaged in multiple storage cases and will be labeled 1 of 2, 2 of 2, etc.

Q: Can I get extra storage containers or labels?
A: You can purchase a four-pack of clear-mount storage cases (item 119115). Extra labels are not available for purchase.

Q: Do I need to use the labels on my clear-mount rubber stamps?
A: The labels are designed as a tool, and you can use them or not, as it suits your preference. The stamps are designed to cling to your blocks with or without the label.

Q: How do I apply the labels?
A: Applying the stamp labels is quite simple, and you will find detailed instructions located on the back side :of the storage case label. The most important thing to remember is to leave the label on the sheet until you apply it to the stamp. If you remove the label first and then to try to apply it to the stamp, you will be unsuccessful.

Q: Are the labels removable?
A: The labels are not removable. It could damage the foam if you try to remove the label once it has been applied.

Q: Does the cling ever wear away?
A: The cling is a static cling and will not wear out. However, you do need to keep both your blocks and stamps clean in order for the cling to function properly.

Q: Why isn't my clear-mount rubber stamp sticking to the acrylic block?
A: Both the stamps and the blocks need to be clean for the cling to function properly. Clean both your blocks and stamps with Stampin' Mist and try again. Also, if you have applied labels to your stamps, you need to press the stamp to the block with a moderate amount of pressure for a few moments in order for it to cling.

Q: How do I clean clear-mount rubber stamps?
A: You simply use your Stampin' Scrub and a few sprays of Stampin' Mist. Use your Stampin' Mist sparingly--if you get your Stampin' Scrub too wet, the excess liquid can cause your stamp to come off the block, and may also result in some cosmetic damage.

Q: How do I clean the acrylic blocks?
A: Acrylic blocks need to stay clean in order to work well. Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub will clean StazOn, Classic Ink, Craft Ink, VersaMark, and metallic ink stains from your blocks. Avoid using StazOn cleaner, as it leaves a slightly oily residue that inhibits the functionality of the cling.

Q: How many sizes of blocks are available?
A: The blocks come in nine different sizes, and have grooves on all four sides. Each block is labeled with "Stampin' Up!" on one edge and the block letter on the opposite edge. You can buy the blocks individually, or can purchase the entire set as a discount bundle for 10 percent off the price of the combined blocks.

Q: Can I convert my current unmounted stamps to clear-mount stamps?
A: We do not recommend converting your wood-mount stamps to clear-mount stamps. The foam on the wood-mount stamp was not designed to be cling foam, and it is possible that you could damage your stamp if you try to alter it.

Q: Can I use my clear-mount stamps on wood blocks?
A: No. The static cling is designed to work on the clear-mount blocks, and will not work on the wood blocks.

Q: I prefer traditional wood-mount sets, so why should I invest in clear-mount?
A: We know most demonstrators and customers will prefer one system over the other. As a demonstrator, we recommend that you bring at least one set of each type to all your workshops. Your customers will then be able to see and feel both the clear-mount and the wood-mount stamps and decide for themselves which option best fits their stamping style.

Q: Will I still need to use my Stamp-a-ma-jig?
A: While the labels on the clear-mount stamps are closely aligned with the rubber, it is not exact. We recommend using the Stamp-a-ma-jig if your project requires exact alignment.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL! Sorry I'm late, but with the holidays and working a full time job, my time has been really, really tight. I haven't really had time with my hubby. This is a very special Birthday card for someone really special. For my mother-in-law my hubby's step-mom. Her birthday is the same day as his, December 17. Hello, Hello, Hello... I've been working on this cute card. If you want to try something different, this would be one to try. You will find yourself experiencing with those craft items that you are afraid of. And I will admit it was scarey for me too! I tried not to make a MOUNTAIN out of a MOLE HILL, and it was smooth sailing all the way..

Here is Summer Sun. (Sorry forgot to add in picture.)

Cut Real Red cardstock in half to make 2 cards.

Cut Glorious Green into strips, I used the Eyelet Border punch #113692.

Always use your punch, facing you, so you can see the open view . Move strip to continue border, slide paper to end, where you can lightly see the last punch- overlap slightly.

Next ,stamp out your design.

Fill cups with candy.

Punch out circle.Cut Whisper White into 2 1/4" and Summer Sun into 2 1/2" strip( use larger pieces for easier fitting). Place candy cup into punched out hole.

Carefully remove strip from cup, look for the pre-cut mark.

Now, carefully line up with Summer Sun cardstock. I used a much larger cardstock, and then trim down. This is alot easier then trying to fit into a small area.

Add trim...Cut to fit...I added at the last minute green ribbon, I didn't include it in main products to use, it just seemed natural.

And the finished product.And yes it was (maybe)alot of work, but in the long run, it turn out "Great"! and you can choose the look of the card. With or without the ribbon. Until next time Happy Stamping :)

Not too old for something fun

My son Daniel's birthday card. He turned 24. And of course he's too old. This card is made with stamp set Just Jawing- #111660, and designer paper- Cast-a-Spell #115677, and some plain nice ribbon- Green. I made this card for the October Birthdays.

The various of the cards are, of course is the colored in Eyes and Teeth.

I'm also having some problems with get this site to paste on email, please still be patient with me and hopefully I can correct it.

baby shower door prizes

Thought I would share the baby shower plates I did for my good friend Connie. There are 36 hand painted, the techique is "One Stroke" Menthod. I really had to practice alittle bit to get the hang if the flower. Plates are black( spray painted), with 3 coats of clear lacquer. Took about 3 days to do, and I was very happy when my little gift was done. She knew I did something special, but just didn't know WHAT it was... "SURPRISE" my friend Connie...

I also did a shadow box for my future son-in-law.

EASEL CARD

My first project I would like to share with everybody is this cool card. The Easel Card is easy to make, on a scale 1 thru 5, 5 being the easiest, than 5 it is... This is the first Blog that I've done and experience is going to be the BEST teacher for me, so off we GO!

Here are the materials to use, I did forget to include the markers for santa's head wreath.

Cut a 12x12 piece of cardstock in three to make three stripes of 4x12( this makes three cards), and score at

4" , 6" and 8".

Fold along score lines.

Add double-sided tape or favorite adhesive on the inner folds of the 2" section.

Attach to back of what will be the upright front panel.

Now add you card front and design. I did do the card front ( Larger than the design), glue design and center on card.

For the inside of card, a small strip of paper for the verse to lay on.

I used gold string to wrap the inside verse card, wrapped around 7 times to make the easel brace for card front. Glue to card, which gives a nice tucked under look.
